Sylvia has seen a lot in her 103 years, she has loved, grieved the loss of love, she has laughed, she has cried, she had good days and bad days, but mostly she had an abundant life of joy and happiness. Sylvia had a front seat view of this ever changing world and embraced being a part of it. She was active in the Life Tabernacle Church of Duncanville for many years; from, working with the ladies auxiliary as President to church secretary. Sylvia had a giving heart and was a caregiver. She enjoyed cooking and caring for family. Sylvia found joy in helping others.
Sylvia enjoyed a good shopping trip. Shoes were her favorite find! Sylvia dearly loved her family and friends. She enjoyed time with her nieces and nephews; she had a special bond with each of them. Sylvia was the best aunt you could ask for. Sylvia's memory will live on in the special stories and memories they each have.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hazel Brown; husband, Hew LaPrade; husband, Claude Bealmear; sisters; Lorene Conrad, Marie McKay and Darlene Shindoll.
Sylvia is survived by her nieces: Cinday Shindoll, Natha Holliday, Sherry Williams, Cynthia Wewe, Madge Wewe; nephew, Randy Shindoll; a host of cousins; and many other family and friends.
Internment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
