Pamela Jean Newell, 74, of Canton, Texas passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. She was born January 24, 1949 in Dallas to Devon Kelton and Dorothy Juanell Vance Baugh.
Pam grew up in Canton and Edgewood. She graduated Canton High School in 1967 and then from the National Beauty School in Mesquite in 1971. She was a cosmetologist for many years. Pam loved to cook, travel and go on cruises. She was a Christian woman.
Mrs. Newell is preceded in death by her parents, Devon and Dorothy Baugh; son, John Emerson; grandson, Christopher Emerson; brother, Michael Baugh; and her aunt Doris Greer.
Pam is survived by her husband, Gary Newell of Canton; son, Dennis Devon and Janet Emerson of Eustace; two daughters: Shelli Jan Emerson and Shari Jean Reese, both of Canton; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and an uncle, Hershel and Betty Vance of Llano.
A private memorial will be held at a later date with inurnment in Highland Cemetery.
