Ollie Ruth Smith

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Canton.

Ollie Ruth was born April 6, 1928 in Edgewood to Ira Leon and Myrtle Mae Nichols Jones. She grew up and lived in Edgewood all of her life. She was a Baptist by faith. Ollie Ruth enjoyed working at numerous grocery stores in Edgewood. She was also a hostess at Eubank Funeral Home for several years. Ollie Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith, brothers, Cecil and Billy Jones and a sister, Pat Joyce.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Cathy Smith of Edgewood; 4 grandchildren: Cari Smith, Corey Smith, Corey and Jennifer Johnson and Holly and Harry McKeown; 6 great-grandchildren: Catherine, Jake, Tyler, Trey, Colin and Harper; brother, Max Jones of Freona, TX; and a sister, Jean Clowers of Grand Saline.

Honorary pallbearers are Cari Smith, Corey Smith, Corey Johnson, Holly McKeown and Don Wann.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
