Judy passed away peacefully on December 17, 2022 in Eastland, Texas. She was born on January 10, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to Edward Clifford Arnold and Sybil Doris Driver Arnold.
Judy grew up in Garland, Texas and graduated from Garland High School. Judy was a woman of strong faith. She started every day with reading her Bible. On February 18, 1968, she married her beloved husband, George Mayfield. Judy was a productive and busy woman. She was a truck driver for Stevens Transport for several years. Judy enjoyed traveling and taking pictures of the landscape. She spent her free time growing flowers and raising birds, dogs, raccoon, goats or any animal that came her way. Judy’s best days were those filled with her grandchildren. Judy loved the Lord and her family dearly. Judy will live on in the hearts and memories of all that knew and loved her.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Doris Arnold, son David Wayne Mayfield, sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Bill Cook, and husband Robert Lanam.
She is survived by husband George Mayfield, children James and Melissa Mayfield, Sheri and Richard Squyres, and Karla Lapinski, sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Jimmy Bailey, brother and sister-in-law James and Lisa Roe, as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to service on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas
