Services for Joyce Nell (Stanford) Rinehart, 82, of Canton, are scheduled for 11 am Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Adam Key officiating. Interment will be in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Nell passed away at her home on January 20, 2023. She was born September 9, 1940 in Amory, MS to George G. and Nomie Lou Suggs Stanford.
Nell married Allen Rinehart on August 11, 1955 and moved to Memphis, TN. They lived in and raised their family in Irving, TX for more than 40 years. After her youngest child started school, she went to work for The Drawing Board, later known as Pitney Bowes, in Dallas, TX, where she stayed until retirement. After retirement she and Allen moved to Canton to the Old Bethel Community where she enjoyed celebrating holidays and birthdays, attending church, quilting with friends, shopping, visiting family and friends, riding around the East Texas country roads and sitting on the back porch with Allen, watching birds and random stray kittens over their many years. Family was always most important to her and she enjoyed getting together frequently.
Together, Nell and Allen had four children: Noel Rinehart and wife, Vicky, of Waxahachie, TX, Ray Rinehart, Sandra Pirtle and husband, Lloyd, of Winnsboro, TX, and Andy Rinehart and wife, Rene', of Quitman, TX. Nell is survived by 10 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Stanford and sister Brenda Adams.
Nell is preceded in death by her parents, George and Nomie Stanford, son, Edwin Ray Rinehart, and sister, Shelby Jean Rinehart.
Pallbearers are Jake Pirtle, JJ Whiteis, Seth Riley, Brian Rinehart, Lloyd Pirtle and Andy Rinehart. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Rinehart.
Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
