James N. Bunch

A visitation following with a graveside service will be held for James Neal Bunch, 67, of Wills Point, Texas staring at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas, Paul Armstrong officiating.

James passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023 in Wills Point, Texas. He was born on June 25, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to J. F. Bunch and Betty Jean Martin Bunch.

James grew up in the Van Zandt county area. He was named after a descendant of the San Jacinto Battle of 1836 “Neal Martin” – a fact that James was proud of. James was a great outdoors man. He ran a hunting and fishing guide service for over 20 years. He married his beloved wife Connie in 1977. The couple had 34 wonderful years together at her passing in 2011. They were blessed with two children, Sarah and Nick. James loved family gatherings and cooking for family and friends.

James was an avid motorcycle rider and owner, He was a long time member of the Dorsai Motorcycle Club of Texas. He next chapter was with his love, Melinda “Mindy”, whom he shared his life with. Neal enjoyed long motorcycle rides and quiet time at home with Mindy relaxing and bird watching. James was a big fan of country and western music. He loved his family, his friends and his dog, Dude, who was a great companion in the last couple of years. James will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

James is preceded in death by his parents, J. F. and Betty Bunch; beloved wife, Connie Bunch.

He is survived by wife, Mindy Bunch; daughter, Sarah and Parker Brady; sons: Jeremy Bunch,, Nick and Candace Bunch, Charles Bunch; stepdaughter, Lavada and Brandon Greenwood; grandchildren: Avery Bunch, Jacob Bunch, Rylan Brady, Everly Brady, Toby Kirk; sisters, Dianne Daigle and Cathy Bunch (Jake).
