Gene Williams

A Celebration of Life service for Gene Williams, 78, of Van Zandt County Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Eubank Funeral Home. Dwain Goodson and Duayne Williams officiating.

Gene passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 12, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on August 29, 1945, in Cottonwood Community, Texas.

Gene grew up in the Kaufman and Van Zandt County area. He was Baptist by faith. Gene loved the Lord and the farm life that he and his beloved wife, Patricia built. Gene enjoyed fishing, a good game of 42, watching the sunset with his love and spending time with family and friends. Gene had many friends that were considered family, and family was always welcomed at the Williams ranch.

Gene worked for Falcon Steel in Kaufman, Texas for 49 years, starting his career in the bolt room. Throughout his time at Falcon, he held several different positions. He retired from Falcon Steel in 2011 as Vice President of the company.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Williams; sisters: Gloria McCarty, Ruby Newman and Marie Jackson; 1st wife, Evon Williams.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Williams; daughter, Terri Hawkins; bonus daughter, Denise Allen; son, Nolan “Nubbin” Williams and wife, Mandie; bonus son, Bill Shelburn and wife, Misti; bonus son, Larry Click; grandchildren, Clay Shelburn, Cody Williams, Trevor Hawkins, Taryn Willey, Caid Williams, Taylor Weatherred, Cori Grashel; six great grandchildren; sisters, Margie Stone, Irene Williams, Bobbie Creed; brother, John E. Williams.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
