Fernando Ruiz

A funeral service for Fernando Ruiz, 35, of Ben Wheeler, will be held 2 pm Sunday, May 26, 2019, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Jimmy Heslop officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.

Mr. Ruiz passed away May 16, 2019 in Ben Wheeler. He was born March 16, 1984 in Tyler, TX.

Fernando grew up in Martins Mill and Ben Wheeler. He loved to fish and be with his family. Fernando was very funny and had the ability to make people laugh. He was known for his smile and laugh and had a big heart.

Mr. Ruiz is preceded in death by his son, Eli Ruiz, and his dad, Ismael "Chuy" Lugo.

Fernando is survived by his mother, Lucia "Lucy" Lugo-Cervantes of Ben Wheeler; father, Nemecio Ruiz of Tyler; daughter, M'Kenzy Ruiz; son, Sebastian Ruiz; daughter, Ali Ruiz; son, Levi Ruiz; son, Jonnah Ruiz; two brothers: Eugene Lomas of Tyler and Robert and Wendy Ruiz of Ben Wheeler; four sisters: Chia Lomas of Tyler, Yoli Lomas of Lindale, Luly and Mario Campos of Tyler and Bertha Ruiz of Canton; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be 12 - 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
