Charles’s hobbies and interests were vast, but many knew his passions: Charles loved the Lord and was heavily involved at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Athens, Texas, where he began his affiliation with the Knights of Columbus. There he assisted to raise charitable offerings for many areas of Church needs, but his primary convictions were, by far, those areas dedicated to Pro Life ministries and establishment of Sean’s Squires (in memory of his son), a program to develop young men for future roles within the Church. Charles had many leadership roles within the Knights of Columbus, including that of Faithful Navigator, 4th Degree Grand Knight and District Deputy. He also was vastly proud of his Grandchildren and attended many of their activities. He would always display numerous photographs of Grandchildren without persuasion. Charles also served as an officer on the Martins Mill School Board, as well as co-founding the Neighborhood Crime Watch, who have since become lifelong friends. He also served as a Bat Boy with the Brooklyn Dodgers, enjoyed fishing and camping with friends and family, and had a love for motorcycles and corvettes.
