Today they will celebrate my  friend James (Jimbo) Scaife.  He was a friend, supervisor, and god father to my daughter.  Jimbo was not only all those titles, but was a man who believed in his faith.  Jim was the friend who helped me find my way back to my Catholic faith.  Jim was a kind hearted man, that would give the shirt off his back to you if you needed it.  As a supervisor, Jim always made sure I was squared away, and looked out for me to make me successful in my military career.   Jim kept in touch with me throughout the years, even after his retirement.  He followed me on Facebook, and always praised me of my accomplishments, and promotions.  I wouldn't be where I am at today, if it wasn't for the foundation as a young Airman I learned from Jimbo.  He has touched many lives in a positive way.  

I have many found memories of Jim, and many great stories I could tell of living in Germany with him.  He always  had a smile on his face, and laugh that would make anyone smile.  He always would say, "good to hear from you bud, we gotta get together sometime."   

Take care my friend, may you have found the peace you were in search of.  Your picture hangs on my wall,  and has followed me at every place where I have lived.  You will not be forgotten.

Jimbo, it was a honor to have served along side you at Scott AFB. Our time there hold many memories that I will cherish.  One in particular, July 3 you were asleep on our couch so we could all go to St Louis for the 4th festivities  along the water front, unfortunately those plans didn't play out. I was pregnant with my 1st child and went into labor in the middle of the night; we left you on the couch (Really we had forgotten you were even there). The hospital sent us home to labor there for awhile,  when we got a knock on the door, it was you my dear friend holding a  bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken and I couldn't have any!! You were so sweet and there for us then.  I will miss you dearly,  may you finally be at peace friend. I know you've struggled in many ways through the years and now you are free of the pain.  Be free with the Angels and watch over your niece.  Prayers for the Scaife Family.  

My heart is saddened at your loss.  Lindsay and I loved sharing Jesus with you during our special times at church.  May the Lord bring His comfort during the days ahead.  Loving thoughts to your family!! ♡♡♡

My deepest sympathy to the family.  Your parents were so proud of you two, Jim and you, Steven.  Although we were away a lot while in the Air Force, I remember when your parents would bring Jim and you  to the Scaife reunions in Pennsylvania, when we attended.  One time when we were there, I had my son play with you until more kids your age came.  Although you didn't see your cousins often, you enjoyed seeing and playing games together with them.  Please know that Jim is at peace and is now in God's and your parents' loving arms getting hugs.  I can hear your mother & dad's laughter now!  May God keep you and your family in his loving care and wrap his loving arms around you and give you all peace.

Steven, and family; 

I will forever remember two boys from around the corner.  on Chaparrel Rd., in Hartville.  I remember how excited your mother was when you came along after your older brother.  She was so happy she giggled the entire time whe was telling us you were expected.    I remember how excited Jim was to join the service, and how proud he was of that service.  I know my parents were always happy to read of his adventures, and as a family, Mom, Dad, and I shared sorrow at his struggles.  

Please accept my deepest sympathies and most sincere condolences at his passing.  My heart joins yours in prayers for his peaceful rest, until that day when we are reunited in the Lord's glorious kingdom.

Jimmy always kept in contact and I like to mail out snail mail notes to distant family. He so much  liked my notes. Jimmy met my husband Vic, when was active duty, and had temporary duty. It was in Texas. My husband said he knew how to pick good steak places to eat. He will forever be in our hearts. <3 Aunt Cathy & Uncle Vic.
