Harold Leroy Bennett

Harold was born December 20, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to the late Ernest and Mary (Stover) Bennett. He attended Lehman High School, and retired from the Timken Company after 30 years service. Harold was a member of the Sons of Herman in Massillon. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, and card player.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Harold Leroy; brother, Kenneth Bennett and a sister who died in childhood. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Twyla Bennett; children, Cheryl (Mike) Schmidt, Jean Trubisky, Mike (Mindy) Bennett, and Ron (Kristen) Bennett; grandchildren, Brandon (Nicole) Schmidt, Cory (Brie) Trubisky, Taylor (Adri) Trubisky, Gabi (Seth) Wilbur, Courtney (Tim) Busson, Morgan Guesman, Drew (Hannah) Purtee, and Sydney Fischer; great-grandchildren, Jordan Schmidt, Kian Wilbur, Ariana Hug, Xavier Guesman, Anthony Hug, and Cooper and Iyla Purtee; brother-in-law, Mike (Juanita) Miller; and many friends who will miss him.

In accordance with his wishes, a private family gathering will be held, followed by cremation. Arrangements under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sons and Daughters of Herman Benevolent Fund, 1994 Deermont Ave NW, Massillon, OH 44647.
