Barbara was born September 16, 1932 in Canton, Ohio to the late Matthew and Mary (Mendezoff) Pavlinch. She was a graduate of Timken High School and worked as a phone operator for Ohio Bell; and later was the owner of various restaurants and bars. Barbara was a member of St. Michael Catholic Parish, and the Women's Clubs at St. Michael's and Lake Cable. She had quite the green thumb, was a gourmet cook, fashionista, who loved to shower her grandchildren with love and gifts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gil Hevia. She is survived by her daughters, Anita (Eric) Heiser of Jackson Township, and Renee (Nazanin Khodadad) Hevia of Cincinnati, Ohio; granddaughters, Ashley Miller, Alexandra Heiser, and Madison Heiser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, May 12th at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3430 St. Michael Blvd. NW, Canton. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd. NW, Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
