Wilma “Billie” (Marks) Trachtenberg of Framingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November, 22, 2024 at 79 years of age. Billie was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 25, 1945, to parents Herbert and Shirley (Miller) Marks. She was also the sister to the late Judy Gerstein and Jayne Marks.
She is survived by her beloved children; Steven Trachtenberg and his wife Melissa of Boca Raton, FL; Gail Trachtenberg of Milton, MA; Robin Brown and her husband Derek of Grafton, MA; and Peter Trachtenberg and his wife Lori of Ashland, MA Cherished grandmother of Ava, Mina, and Dylan Trachtenberg, Kyra and Kyle Brown and Jacob Trachtenberg. Billie’s niece, Shari (Gerstein) Kelleher was thought of as another daughter to Billie, especially after Judy passed away.
Billie dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and all of her wonderful friends. She loved family gatherings, cooking delicious meals that brought everyone to the table, buying presents for all the pets, playing slot machines at the casino, eating Chinese food, sitting out in the sun, drinking Dunkin Donuts, traveling with her family and watching the Hallmark Chanel.
Billie worked for over 20 years at the Nursery School at Temple Beth Am. She was loved by the children and formed close relationships with the staff, many of whom she kept in touch with long after the school closed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 1 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 474 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
