He was the ever-dedicated and beloved husband to Susan (Moore) Berger for over 52 years. Devoted father of Seth and wife Wendy Berger. Loving grandfather of Abby and Jared. Dedicated uncle of Adam and wife Diane Isaacson, the late Scott Isaacson and great uncle of Sam and Gina Isaacson. Treasured son of the late Sam and Eunice(Goldberg) Berger. Faithful brother to the late Jane B. Isaacson. Friend and mentor to many.
Paul was an enthusiastic academic, graduating with his PhD from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and then working as a professor of quantitative methods and marketing for over 50 years. He taught at Boston University’s School of Management from 1969 until 2006 and then at Bentley University until the end of 2019. He taught thousands of students and authored an abundant number of research papers and texts over his career with a zest for the subjects for which he dedicated his professional life. He also consulted with numerous companies over his career, training and applying statistical methods to various business applications.
Beyond time with family and his professional career, Paul was a Life Master bridge player, an avid reader, a loyal Boston sports fan, a movie and TV lover, and never shied away from a good meal.
