Harriet Irma (Hochman) Stone, age 89, of Mashpee, MA, entered into rest on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in the company of her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Erwin H. Stone. Harriet was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 10, 1934, a daughter of Samuel and Sadie (Cashman) Hochman.
Harriet’s greatest joy was the love and devotion of her family. While raising her family she attended Framingham State College and went on to pursue a career as an art teacher in the Easton Public Schools. Harriet was a talented artist, enjoyed golfing, and loved to cook.
Those left to cherish Harriet’s memory include her devoted daughters: Linda McGettrick and her husband David of Bellingham, Susan Stone and her partner David Diamond of Foxborough, and Karen Stone Murphy and her husband John of Mendon; her cherished grandchildren: Jonathan David McGettrick, Jennifer Valerie McGettrick, Justin Paul McGettrick, Amanda Baker Marold and her husband Robert, Taylor Kelly Pounds and her husband Cornal, Kevin Tyler Murphy and Kayla Kristen Murphy; and her treasured great-grandchildren: Levi Michael Marold, Devon Stone Marold, and Micah Douglas Pounds. She was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Gaimaro.
In accordance with Harriet’s wishes, services will be private.
