GERALD RICHMAN of Boynton Beach, FL entered into rest on July 16, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a longtime resident of Hull, MA before moving to Boynton Beach, FL. He served proudly in WW II on PT Boat Tender Oreste in the Philippines, the only PT Boat Tender to see combat which also survived a Kamikaze attack. Gerald was an AGP-10 Kamikaze survivor as well as being a proud member of the Scouts & Raiders. He received the WW II Victory Medal, American Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with one Bronze Star and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star for his service. After being discharged, Gerald worked for the U.S. Navy in Charlestown, MA as a Sonar Installation Specialist. He retired from Navy employment when the Charlestown Navy Yard was closed in 1973. He also worked for Lechmere Sales and other retail establishments. He was the beloved husband of Rebecca (Mendelson) Richman. Devoted father of Carol Richman and her husband, Butch Mount, Howard Richman and his wife, Mary and Steven Richman and his wife, Nadia. Loving brother of Herman Richman and his wife, Roseanne. Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Daniel, Ariel, Beau, Calie and Nicholas.Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance will be at the home of Sheryl and David Elman on Thursday following interment.
