Doris was born in Canada and moved to New York as a young adult where she married and raised her family. She was a devoted wife who cared for her husband Ben during his many years of illness, while running a business and caring for their three children. A lover of books, she and Ben owned a family bookstore for many years. Doris followed the national and international news on a daily basis and voted in every election until her passing.
An avid knitter, Doris made sweaters, scarves and hats for her children and grandchildren. She created blankets, baby hats and scarves for numerous charities. Doris was fluent in Yiddish and led a Yiddish club in Florida for over twenty years. She loved to sing and participated in choral groups in Florida and Randolph. When she moved to Massachusetts, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren over holidays, birthdays and other celebrations. Doris will be greatly missed by her family, friends and devoted caretakers.
