Nancy McSweeney

February 5, 1946 - March 8, 2023

Nancy W. McSweeney, 77, of Canoga Park, CA passed away on March 8, 2023, at the West Hills Hospital.

She was born in Burke VT, the daughter of George R Wood and Eva (John) Wood, on February 5, 1946.

Nancy graduated from Beeman Academy in New Haven, VT in 1964. She worked at Kennedy Brothers and Simnonds Precision in Vergennes, VT before moving to CA in 1976. She was employed by Northrop Grumman for over 30 years before retiring. While working, she continued her education and got her A.B.A. from Pierce College.

Besides her husband Bill, her greatest joy in life was knitting and giving it away.

Nancy is survived by her two brothers, Paul Wood and Frank (Anne) Wood, and three sisters, Candy (John) Casey, Betty (Ron) Hurlburt and Sara (Tom) Tompkins. She is also survived by sister-in-law Sheila Crawford and brother-in-law Patrick McSweeney, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and two great-grand nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband William, her parents, sister Josephine Moultroup and son Patrick Husk.

A funeral mass is scheduled for Frfiday, March 31st 2023 at 10:30am at St. John Eudes Catholic Church 9901 Mason Ave. Chatsworth, CA with graveside services at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St. Chatsworth, CA.
