Passed away at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home on January 17, 2012 at the age of 86, Mrs. Rita Ann McDavid of Tide Head. She was the daughter of the late Robert Firth and the late Martha Jane Irvine. She ran McDavid’s Convenience Store in Tide Head for approximately 50 years.
She leaves to mourn her sons Peter McDavid (Gloria), Donald McDavid (Bonnie), Curtis McDavid (Catherine) and Ian Wallis all of Tide Head, her sister Margaret Gamache (Raymond) of Toronto, ON. Also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Bruce Eldon McDavid, sons George McDavid, Eldon McDavid and Robert McDavid, grandson Eldon McDavid, two sisters Vivian and Bobbie, two brothers Dick and Jack.
The funeral service was held from Maher’s Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Thursday January 19th at 2pm. Reverend Jim Postlethwaite officiating. Interment at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery this spring.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.
