I met Pam at the age of 4 .  She worked with my Father , John Robert Whalen at the Family Children’s Agency in Windsor.  My memories of Pam are amazing and will be long remembered.  Pam , was my Big Sister which am so proud to boast. She did so much with me over the years.  I will never forget all she did for me and so many other Families/ Children.  Thank you Pam for being the most amazing advocate for myself and so many others out there.  I love you and you will be in my heart forever. ♥️

I am very sad to learn of Pam's death.  My sympathy from my family to yours, especially Ruth and Pam's siblings.  Pam was a wonderful friend over many years, but especially in the 70s when I lived in NS.  We shared some great adventures together.  Pam stood up with me at our wedding and, of course took advantage during a family photo op to fill our suitcases with confetti.  I will miss her laugh, humour, wisdom and much more.

I was very sad to learn of Pam's death. We worked together for several years in Windsor and we became friends.  I was inspired by Pam the social worker; she was incredibly patient and understanding, wonderfully kind and non-judgmental, always honest and down to earth.  Families were clearly very fond of her and many would ask me about her long after she finished her work with them. These same qualities made Pam a wonderful friend. I will miss her calming presence, her incredible wit and her caring heart. I extend my deepest sympathies to Ruth and to Pam's family and friends.

Pam was involved in helping me, when I was a child, in some serious issues...It is sad to see she's passed away, but I hope at least she was happy in her life.

I was thinking of Pam this past week actually.  She gave me a door for my house back in 2006. I had sent it off to have it re-painted again. She was happy to have what she thought was junk removed and re-purposed. I was happy to get a perfectly good free steel door. 
Pam treated everyone with kindness.  I especially remember her sense of humor and calm presence.

My deepest sympathies to Ruth and all other family members.   Pam was sweet, caring and had a wonderful dry sense of humour.   She will be dearly missed.

To Pam's Loved Ones
I am sad to learn of Pam's death - what a wild, funny, caring, deeply compassionate and loving woman!  We shared many memorable times in the Valley - canoe trips, pot lucks, card games, music nights and just plain visiting.  Though we lost touch in more recent years, Pam holds a place in the heart of many Annapolis Valley friends.  She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart. To Ruth and Pam's family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Many were the camping trips with Pam & friends in Nova Scotia. Pam preferred canoing to swimming  and so waved a jovial "see you all later " as she paddled away from the rest of us splashing together in the  lake.
Fifteen minutes later we discover Pam has all of our clothes AND all of our paddles with her in HER canoe!
That was Pam!

Sincere condolences to Pam's family. I too worked with Pam at FCS in Windsor. She had great empathy and was very kind. I will also mention her great sense of dry humor.

I was so sorry to read Pam's obit this morning in the newspaper.  I have known Pam for many years both as a collegue in Windsor and as a friend.  She had one of the best dry sense of humour that I had ever met and she and I would have great times sharing stories .  She too was always up for  going on adventures and  Carolyn, Susan and I shared a few with Pam.   My deepest sympathies to Ruth and Pam's family.

So very sorry to hear this sad news.  I knew Pam when I lived in Windsor, NS and became very fond of her.  She was loving and kind and will be sadly missed.

So sorry to hear of Pam's death. I worked with Pam for many years at Family and Children's Services and she became a very good friend. She was thoughtful and loyal, kind and generous and she saw the best in everyone.
