Hugh, an identical twin, was born August 12, 1930 in Benjamin River, NB to William and Elizabeth White (Gagne).
Hugh spent many years working as a school teacher in Benjamin River, NB, and Pointe-aux-Trembles, QC. On returning to NB he was a school bus driver until he retired. He had countless other jobs and hobbies; including working as a foreman, a carpenter, was a phenomenal painter and artist, loved watching and refereeing hockey, and later in life became a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. He loved crossword puzzles, coffee and lottery tickets. His love and appreciation for music was matched with his love for animals.
Hugh is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cora, his daughters Heather (Lionel), of Charlo, NB, Huguette (Brad), of Vancouver, BC, and grandson Mackenzie Geraghty (Felicia) of Halifax, NS. He is also survived by his sister Marina Rogers of Campbellton, NB, many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: twin brother Eugene, Billy, Louis, Hubert, Eva, and his son Hugh Geary 2021.
Farewell Hughie, Dad, and Grampy. You will always be remembered and missed dearly.
Respecting the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitations at the funeral home.
