of Tide Head, husband of Elaine (Vautour) Mann on Saturday, December 21rst, 2024 at the age of 83 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
Garry was born on Saturday June 07, 1941 in Upsalquitch to the late Lulu (Kierstead) Mann and the late George Mann.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Luanne (Wes) & Brad (Karen) and I granddaughter Taylor Tozer (Bailey) and a great grandson Desmond. He also had a close relationship & considered Kyle & Kloe Knight, the children of Wesley & Anicia, as his own grandchildren as well.
He is also survived by 4 sisters: Shirley, Alice, Valerie, Marilyn and 1 brother, Blaine as well as several brother in laws & nieces and nephews.
In his younger years, Garry owned his own trucking business transporting pulp from his father’s farm in Upsalquitch to the pulp mills in New Richmond.
Following this, he was employed for 33 years at the CNR, initially in Campbellton and later on transferred to Moncton.
Following his retirement from the CNR, he worked for Brentwood International in Moncton for 10 years.
Garry was actively involved in the Glen Levit United Church as an Elder and member of the Board of Stewarts. Later on, after moving he was also a volunteer with the Lions Club in the Moncton area.
Garry enjoyed all outdoor activities: spending summers camping with his family, dog Yogi and the camping crew at Inch Arran. In earlier days, he loved fishing & hunting, listening to country music and playing the guitar.
A celebration of Life Service for Garry will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, December 31 rst at 11: 00 a.m.
The family will welcome family & friends at Maher’s Funeral Home at 33 Lansdowne St. in Campbellton on Monday, December 30th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec.31rst from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Garry’s memory can be made to the Glen Levit United Church or the SPCA.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chabineau and the staff of the Campbellton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Team for the excellent care that he received during his final days as well as Dr. Julie Arseneault of the Leon Richard Oncology Unit in Moncton.
