Born in Campbellton, NB on May 24, 1944, daughter of the late Victor Wirtanen and the late Muriel Noye.
She worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant until she had her first son.
She is survived by her sons Chris (Kathy Gerber), Jeremy (Ping Xu) and Preston, her sisters Doreen Beckingham (Kenneth Beckingham – deceased), Lynn Corrigan (Fred Corrigan) and Debbie Lapointe (Michael Lapointe). She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Erin, Alexandra and Ben, as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Dale Wirtanen.
A funeral service will be held at St-Andrew Anglican Church in Robinsonville on Wednesday, October 19, at 3:00 pm.
