Karen Kristine Stevenson

Karen will be deeply missed by her husband Travis and son Austin. She is also survived by her mother Emily (Ken) Bean and father David (Diane) Bell and her sister Bonnie (Tom) Forrester and their daughter Olivia. Karen will also be missed by her cousin Melanie (Mitch) Zylstra and their children Maddison and Jayson. Melanie and Karen were the best of friends and over the last year Melanie has been such a rock and support for Karen, Travis and Austin. Also left to mourn is the Mossey family. Karen is also survived by Travis’ family, her father in law Bill Stevenson and Janet AKA “Granny”. Granny has been such a support to Karen and family through this journey and Karen could tell that Janet (Granny) cared for her as if she was her own daughter. She is also survived by mother in law Janice Szeponski (Jim). Karen will also be missed by brother in law Erin (Penny) Stevenson and their children Trace and Cameron. Karen touched the lives of so many people and she will also be missed by a whole host of extended family and friends.

The thing Karen loved the most in life was being a wife and a mother. No matter what challenges she was faced with she gave her all and was the most dedicated loving wife to Travis and mother to Austin.

A special thanks to Dr. Penhall and the Campbell River Cancer Clinic Staff for all of their care, comfort and support over the last number of months.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oyster River Resort, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in Karen’s memory.
