Jeffrey Philip Wilson, left us on March 1, 2022 after a two-year battle with cancer. Born in Hazelton, B.C. on August 1, 1953 to Jeffrey and Marie (Janze) Wilson.
Predeceased by his father in 1994, his mother in 1995 and son Justin Arthur Smith Wilson in 2019.
Survived by his wife Debra, son Brandon and daughter in-law Amberley, sisters, Lynn & (Larry) Joseph, Laurel Wilson & (Ron Mould) and brother Gordon Wilson.
Jeff also leaves behind a great number of family members and friends who will treasure memories of his humor and good nature.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude for the exceptional care and kindness shown by his medical team. Dr D. Douglas, Dr. A. Morrison, Dr, A. Araujo, the Campbell River Cancer Care and Medical Daycare staff, the many nurses and health care workers/ lab techs and lastly Dr T. Nevill (Vancouver) and Dr. J. Hart (Victoria).
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 1pm at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena at 225 S. Dogwood Street in Campbell River. As Jeff played hockey for 43 years in Campbell River, the rink seemed a fitting location to celebrate his life. Please enter by the south door of the parking lot. Signage will be visible.
We will celebrate Jeff’s life the way he would have wanted…with laughter.
If you have a lawn chair available, please bring it to the rink so you can socially distance, should you choose. If not, there will be bleachers available and there will be some chairs for elders and family members.
We respectfully request that all attendees properly wear masks while entering the facility. Once seated, if you choose, the mask may be removed. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
