She was preceded in death by her husband, David Powers; her parents, Clarence and Esther Volovar and her sister in law Rhonda Volovar.
She is survived by her mother Virginia Volovar of St. Marys PA and her step-son Dr. Stephen Powers of Stow, Ohio.
In addition, she is survived by her fiancé, C. Allen Galbraith of Enola, PA; her sister Margaret (Peg) Swanson and her husband Paul of Kersey, PA; brother Andrew Volovar and his fiancé Deb Rozanski of Middletown, PA; sister Ann Bero and husband Christopher of Mechanicsburg, PA and brother Frank Volovar of St. Marys PA, as well as, nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces that were all such an important part of her life.
Mary Jane graduated from New Castle Business College with a Degree Specializing in Medical Records. She was employed as a Medical Records Specialist at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio for 30 years. For the past 8 years she was Medical Records Supervisor at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA.
Mary Jane will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit. The cards she would so consistently send will be missed.
A Mass celebrating her life will be held 11:00am, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 225 Salt Road Enola, PA. Burial will be at the St. Mary’s, Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys, PA., at the convenience of the family.
