Donna was born and raised in Harrisburg, graduating from John Harris High School in 1964. She went on to earn a Bachelors and Masters degrees. She was retired from Capital Blue Cross. Donna enjoyed embroidery and was a member of the Susquehanna Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg and served in various roles especially singing in the choir.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and Twite Emerick, her identical twin sister, Nancy VanKeuran, and her husband Mike Castro.
She is survived by her son, Robert Wiltrout (Lori); her daughter, Amanda Carbaugh (Ryan); her brother, Robert Emerick; her sister, Caroline Mael (Douglas); granddaughters, Kierstan, Alyssa, Hannah and Bailey and great grandson Henry.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church; 208 Woods Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, from 10:00am-11:00am with the funeral services beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery; 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
