Born on June 8, 1953. Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side, at the age of 60 on April 28, 2014. Loving husband for the past 14 years to Connie (Noble) Ruth-Chamberlain. Predeceased by mother Doreen Checkley and father Osvil Chamberlain. Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life is his loving wife Connie Ruth-Chamberlain, His daughters Becky Myers (Chuck) and Katie Bloomfield (Tom), his stepson Jamie Ruth (Stephanie) and his stepdaughter Trina Elrick (Jason). Proud “Grumpa” of Braydon, Evan, Isabella, Mataya, Sydney, Lincoln. Grandpa and Great Grandpa to Sarah, Meghan, Tommy and Carter. Wayne is survived by his brother Randy and his niece Sarah. Wayne is survived by many cousins and close cousins, Linda Kirk and Brian Tutt. Predeceased by a very loving aunt Rene Tutt and uncle Carmen. Wayne was a proud employee of Com Dev Cambridge for 34 years. Fishing and travelling were his passions in life. Wayne will be truly missed by many family, extended family and numerous friends (too many to mention), and of course his pet cat Lucy. His sense of humour will never be forgotten. Thank you to the Medical Daycare at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, CCAC, and to nurses Pat and Joanne for their excellent home care.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 2nd at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519) 653-3251, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. John’s Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations in Wayne’s memory to Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated by the family.
