Megan will be deeply missed by parents David and Terri (Martin) Powell; sisters Brittany Powell and Sam Dunsworth; Grandmother Betty (Gamble) Powell; Aunt Wanda (Powell) Bell and Uncle Peter Bell; Great Aunts Gloria Martin, Brenda (Martin) Ciolfi, and Kim (Preston) Rowe; and many beloved cousins.
Megan was a graduate of Preston High School (2016) and Conestoga College (Human Services, 2022), and was taking Culinary Arts at St. Louis. In school, Megan was on the basketball and rugby teams and excelled at many track and field events.
Megan was a kind and loving person who showed endless strength and positivity. She was very funny; one of her greatest joys was making others laugh or smile. Megan had passions for painting, drawing, reading, cooking, knitting, and making music, but her favourite thing to do was spend quality time with family and friends.
Megan was predeceased by Grandfathers Thomas Martin (2021) and Charles Powell (2002); Grandmother, Joan (Preston) Martin (1997); Great Grandmother, Pearl McColl (2012) and Uncle, Drew Martin (2024).
Megan’s family is honoured that her final act in life was to save four others through the gift of organ donation. Her selfless act will impact countless family members, friends, and communities of the recipients. We are thankful she will live on through them.
A celebration of life will be held at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory (2500 Kossuth Road, Cambridge) on Sunday, November 24 from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
