Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in his 77th year. Beloved father of Paul (Lisa-May Taylor), of Toronto, David (Stacey Duby), of Fergus, Brenda Parker of Cambridge, Janis Dunning (Tom) of Flamborough. Loving grandfather of Andrew Cross (Sonya), Beth - Ann Cross (Barry), Amy Lauzon (Jon), Shaughnessy (Nathan), Brittany Parker (Bryan), Keeford Cross, and 4 great grand-children. Also survived by his sister Barbra Shaw. Predeceased by his parents Lyn and Mona Cross, and his brother-in-law Bill Shaw. John will also be missed by Sandy Tilley the mother of his children. Also missed by his four - legged companion Roxy. A special thank you to his care giver Yolande MacMillan. John was born in Galt on November 12, 1933, and was the former owner of Crosses Flowers Ltd., a member of K-40, President of Cambridge Girls Softball, on the executive of Central Ontario Ringette association, and a member of Ontario Ringette Hall of Fame. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 1 p.m. Interment Mt. View Cemetery.
