Jim was a lifelong mechanic and master of repair; if it was fixable, he would fix it. He inherited his love of tools and machines from his father and took joy and pride in passing this love on to his children, nephews, grandchildren, and many apprentices.
Father of 3, grandfather of 9, great-grandfather of 3 (so far). Pre-deceased by daughter Jessica Janet Louks (Trevor Louks) and son James William Wood and survived by son Rob Wood (Michelle Aarts). Also survived by grandchildren Courtney (Joel), Ethan, Bryson, Samantha, Owen, Isabel, Athena, Shamara, and James, great-grandchildren Damon, Peyton, and Mason, and his 3 sisters Marian, Margaret, and Janice. Pre-deceased by parents Marion Catherine Wood (nee Sharman) and Robert Henderson Wood of Cambridge.
A celebration of life for Jim will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, ON N3H3J8.
