Grayson Michael Pereira

With broken hearts, we sadly announce the unexpected passing of our beloved baby boy Grayson on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Grayson passed surrounded by all the love of his family at six months old.

Beloved son of Frank Pereira and Jessica Broderick, much loved brother to Anthony Pereira (Victoria Russell), cherished grandson to Carlos and Rosa Pereira and Michael and Lindsay Versluis and sweetest nephew to Bella (Carlos) Carreiro, Andy Pereira (Britney Durham), Angela Dredge and Braxton Campbell. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family.

Grayson was the happiest of babies and could brighten anyone's day just by being around him. He not only loved attention but he demanded it from all - which wasn't difficult given the way he was forever sticking his tongue out, laughing,"talking" and slapping his legs to get the focus of anyone in the room. For this reason, he especially loved his furry friends Willow and Bosa who were always more than happy to give him all of their attention. Grayson loved to work up his large appetite in his jolly jumper, his soother, tickles, Sophie the giraffe and most recently his prized spatula. He was also quite the little observer - happy and content to take in the sights and activities of those around him. At six months old, he already had a favourite television show; Sesame Street - he especially enjoyed watching Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird. He was also happy anytime he watched his big brother Anthony play video games. His beautiful smile and contagious laugh are already missed so much by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior at 10 a.m. at Forward Baptist Church, 55 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge. Grayson will be laid to rest at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.

A very special thank you to all of our friends and family who have supported us during the hardest time in our lives. Your comforting words and generosity have all been so greatly appreciated, it means more than words can express.
