Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family, on August 14, 2011 at Hilltop Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 93. Born in Bell Island, Newfoundland on October 8, 1917 to Joshua and Rose Gosse with whom she is now reunited. Also reunited with her Loving husband Luke, son Gerald and three infant children. Adored mother of Jean (Ted) Wesseling, Marge (Leo) Young and Wayne (Marie) Gorman all of Cambridge. "Mom Gorman" will also be greatly missed by her 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grand-children and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers Wilston and Ralston. Predeceased by sisters Hilda and Emily and brothers Sterling, Richard, Harold and Cliffe. Evelyn's family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre , 96 St. Andrews Street, in Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations in Evelyn's memory are invited to do so to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Ivey Eye Institute and would be appreciated by the family.
