Passed away peacefully at the Conestoga Lodge in Kitchener on Monday January 12, 2015, in her 96th year. She was a loving wife to Norman Evans (1995) for 55 years. Fondly remembered by her children Norma (Eldon) Oxford of Cambridge and Thomas (Marilyn) Evans of Kitchener. Dear grandmother to Chris, Sandy, Lisa, Teresa, Todd and Tammy and lovingly remembered by many great grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother and sister in law, Charlie and Kathleen Hoskins and brother in law, Thomas Weir. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her sister, Audrey Weir of Toronto, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born and raised in Galt. She was dedicated member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Cambridge for many years. She was an avid bowler, seamstress, knitter and card player. A memorial service will be held at Coutts Funeral Home in Cambridge on Wednesday January 14th at 3 pm followed by a reception. Dorothy has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation, The Fragile X Research Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.
