Survived by son Graham (Lisa), daughter Hazel, grandchildren; Tara Collins (Brian), Evan Wyse (Mollie), Alyssa Ross (Ryan), Erik Menary, Mackenzie Ross, Madison Ross (Colin), great grandchildren; Sophia, Finn and Connor and her sister and dearest friend Doreen Toland. Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph in 2002.
She joined the British Women’s Air Force in 1943 to serve for her country. Immigrated from Scotland in 1963 to Galt now Cambridge where she raised her family, had a rewarding career as a travel agent at Howe Travel until her retirement in 1991. Her love of travel took her all over the world, and her and Joe enjoyed many trips together. A member of Westside Presbyterian Church where at one time she belonged to the Friendly Helpers which seemed a perfect fit. She was known for her beautiful sunny smile, kind spirit and laughter. Loved the Toronto Blue Jays and even had her own jersey for trips to the Roger Centre. Up until her last few years she attended John Dolson pool with her sister Doreen for aqua fit several times a week. She was a loving Mom and was able to have a special relationship with all her 6 grandchildren and was a wonderful GG to her 3 great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. Visitors will be required to provide their name, telephone number at the door. Masks are required.
