It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Andrew Milne, who left us suddenly on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the young age of 57. He passed away from a massive heart attack, leaving a void in the lives of all who knew him.
Andrew was a loving husband of Stacey (Watts) for 23 years and passed away on his wedding anniversary. A devoted father to his sons Aidan and Mason and a best friend to his brother Russell as well as a fun and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Arthur and Elizabeth Milne and sister Pauline Gunn.
Andrew’s quick wit, friendship and willingness to step up to help his friends helped shape the lives of those who were lucky enough to be part of his family. A great friend and generous spirit, Andrew was known for his love of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Stats and players and shhh the game is on. He could be found in the garage with his new toy - a 2006 corvette or working on his perfect lawn with Motörhead or Rush or anything with great drums playing as loud as he dared. Otherwise he was at work. A regional manager for Manitoulin Transport he worked day and night to help his people thrive. His work ethic was second to none and he gave his all to his job. Andrew had an infectious smile and a great laugh that made you laugh along. Whether it was through his long career in transportation, his passion for music or his quick mind and wit, Andrew made a lasting difference in the lives of those who knew him.
He leaves behind not only his beloved family, but a circle of friends, colleagues, and acquaintances who will forever remember him for his commitment, his loyalty, and his ability to bring joy into any room. He loved them all.
A private gathering will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Thursday, November 14 at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, Ontario. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Friday, November 15 at 11am. A reception will follow.
Andrew will be deeply missed, but his love and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
