Jeseph Stefaniak, age 94. Born August 3, 1921; passed away peacefully on March 21, 2016 in Bradenton, FL. Born in Chicago he then moved to Calumet City in '71. Preceded in death by loving wife of 60 years, Jean, née Killian and his grandson, Collin Stefaniak of FL. Joe will always be remembered with love by sons Bob (Nancy) Stefaniak of MN and Jim (Jayne) Stefaniak of FL; he also leaves behind his cherished granddaughters, Amy (Rob) Quigley of NV, Kristy (Shane) Friestad of MN, Marcie (Tim) Donovan of MI, Melissa (Jason) Johnsen of IL, Brooke (Tommy) Parrot of FL, 12 wonderful great-grandchildren and numerous dear relatives & friends. Joe served in the US Army 116th Signal Corps during WWII. He was employed with R&R Donnelly, Dept. AT, until his retirement. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. In his spare time he loved to golf, bowl and attend sporting events. He proudly volunteered at the American Legion and St Victor Church, Calumet City, IL. Visitation, Wednesday, March 30, 9:30 a.m. until the start of Funeral Service, 11 a.m. at Hennessy-Nowak Funeral Home, 400 Pulaski Rd, Calumet City, IL. Interment to immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City. Rev. David Pavlik presiding.
