Woon was born on September 23, 1921 in the province of Kwang Tung, China. Accompanied by her husband, Wang Tai Siu whom she married in 1944, Woon came to Canada in 1989. Having children residing across Canada, she had lived in Calgary, Vancouver and finally settled down in the city of Toronto.
Despite being a housewife all of her life, Woon lived life to its fullest extent. Mah-jong playing was her favourite pastime activity. She loved Chinese food, be it her own cooking or dining out at a restaurant. Savouring Chinese dim sum dishes with family members and friends was something she enjoyed the most.
Woon lived a very busy life: taking care and bringing up her children, ensuring that they become upstanding individuals. She will be remembered forever in their hearts.
