William “Bill” was born in Carfin, Scotland on February 11, 1945. He immigrated to Canada at age eighteen to begin an entirely new life. Bill lived life to the fullest on his acreage in Balzac, where he raised his family and made many happy memories. Always one to enjoy having a laugh, we will miss Bill’s wit and his charm. Bill, we will keep you forever in our hearts.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Janet; daughters Amanda Orr (Mike Thiem Dyck) and Stephanie Orr (Nathan Astrope); grandchildren Teo, Wynn and Griffin Blakely, Linkin and Erik Astrope; and numerous relatives.
He is predeceased by his parents Alexander and Isabella Orr and his brother, Ronald Orr.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL 3220 4 Street N.W. Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
