It is with tremendous sorrow we announce the passing of William (Bill) Allan Fyfe, 74 of DeWinton Alberta. He was born on April 30 1942 in Eagle Hill Alberta to parents Bill Sr. and Edna Fyfe. Bill peacefully succumbed to lung disease in hospital surrounded by his family on October 15, 2016.
Married to Charlene for 17 years, they had four daughters, although predeceased by one daughter Tori (Don), Bill was dearly loved and cherished by all four of his children, Bonnie (Rob) of Calgary, Billie-Jo (Dale) of Grand Cayman, Sherry (Mark) of DeWinton, 8 grandchildren, Chris , Devon, Brady, Kasee, Tekoa, Shalayne, Austin, and Danielle.
Bill spent many happy years with his close friend Eldeen and her children, Kim (Warren), Jeff (Jody) all of Calgary, Pam (Tyson) of High River and all their children, Amanda, Aaron, Nathaniel, Anna, Trina, Kaden and Logan.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He worked hard his entire adult life in several different occupations including but not limited to newspapers, meat processing and restaurants. He was a very hardworking, self-employed man for many years, always ready to lend a helping hand if needed. In his early years, Bill and his teammates qualified to be the youngest curlers to play in the Brier, a very rare accomplishment at the time. Bill loved watching and playing golf, gardening, cooking, reading, history, and was an avid Calgary Flames and Montreal Expos fan. The last few years of his life he enjoyed spending the winters in Phoenix Arizona, golfing, staying warm, and making new friends.

A Memorial service for Bill will be in Calgary at Fosters Garden Chapel, Tuesday October 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary Alberta, with Reception to follow. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter Tori, his parents Bill Sr. and Edna, his 2 sisters Jean Brook and Frances Cole and his children’s mother Charlene Medhurst.
Bill will be cremated in Calgary Alberta. Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association in his memory. Bill will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
