Left to mourn and cherish his memories are his sister Tammy (Mario), nieces Amy, and Stephanie, along with numerous extended family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents Karen and Louis, brother Kevin, stepfather Jeff, and his treasured Tara, Piggy, and Sasha.
Life was not always kind nor easy for Trev, although his disposition rarely showed this. He kicked along life’s cobble stone pathways, always the joker and the kibitzer, smiling and never really taking life to seriously. He embraced his life as it came to him, one day at a time, he never viewed the world as a challenge, but a journey. He traveled down many paths, born in Duncan, raised in Calgary, he survived through many years of learning various forms of street smarts, always cruising on right by in the fast lane, taking many a shortcut, yearning to find a calling of his very own. This would earn him a career as a lifelong learner at the school of hard knocks, from Alberta, to Manitoba, to British Columbia, and as far away as New Brunswick, he certainly was a Canada wide traveler. These were long winding roads, some might say a less scenic routes, he took some wild and crazy turns along the way. Throughout it all he showed and taught us to value the little things in life, as he knew our time here was borrowed better than most. This never slowed him down any, nor stopped him from his adventures, he carried himself on with a most carefree disposition and outlook, a mischievous little smirk, to his smile, and a sparkle in his eyes.
Most fondly we will remember him as the guy who was never one to turn down any request for help from anyone, not family, friend, or even a stranger. Trev was the one you called, he was there, he had your back, a solid man, one of the few remaining. He literally gave the shirt off his back more than once, to anyone, he was happy to help anyone in need. Trev sure adored all the ladies and children in his life, and he was blessed to be surrounded by them. His nieces were his pride and joy, he cherished them, honored to be their uncle, they formed the most incredible bond together. He took care of his family with fierce loyalty and protection. He was grateful to the many health providers, caregivers and people who cared about him, he imprinted their hearts eternally. Trev will be remembered as a generous to a fault fellow, loyal to those he truly cared for and respected. His heart truly was like a magnet, as he had the softest spot ever, for all animals, but most especially his dogs, he never passed one without a pat, and there was always room in his heart and home for more. He walked proud and tall, in his impeccably clean white shoes, with a little dippity for the hairdo, always trying his very best to impress, looking so dapper or a real “hot dogger” as we would like to think, for he loved to turn on the charm, for all the ladies. He carried himself as a true man of honor, and he told you exactly how he seen it, his candor encompassed his true being.
Remember him for the love he gave, the memories of laughter he left us, to fill our hearts. His immense spirit will live on eternally in the hearts and souls of all those he leaves behind. Until we meet again, “Family is Forever”.
