Stephen Yiu Ho Chan

Steve was born January 25, 1984 in Seoul, South Korea, he was adopted by Hubert and Jane Chan and was then brought back to Hong Kong for a short while. Steve resided in Calgary, Alberta for the majority of his life.

A vibrant, bubbly personality from the beginning, Steve was an excellent student that graduated from Bishop Carol High school, he was musically inclined, piano was his first true love, thanks to his piano teacher Allen Reiser. Steve was passionate with helping others, which led him to work as a unit clerk at the Rockyview hospital. He loved his family and friends; he was especially grateful for his mom and dad. Steve was a friend to many, he was light hearted, easy to talk to, compassionate, and was always there to lend an ear if needed.

Steve is survived by his loving parents, Hubert and Jane Chan, and sister Katherine Chan.

The family would like to thank the Doctor’s, nurses and staff at the Foothills hospital for the incredible care provided to Steve and the entire family during this tough time.

A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street NW Calgary (Across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday December 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Chaplain Marlette Reed officiating.
