He was born in Quangdong Province, China and immigrated to Calgary in 1951. He spent his working life in the food service industry as a chef, with his final job being at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Quon will be missed by his wife and their children Rick (Donna), Gary (Jeannie), Thomas (Judi), Edward (Amy) and David (Cindy). He was very proud of his ten grandchildren; Mai Lan (Travis), Kieran (Liz), Brennan (Wei Wei), Jordan, Victoria (Brad), Mitchell, Mathew, Sarah, Rachel, Jayden (Anna) and three great grandchildren; Victoria, Eleanor, Maeve.
A Celebration of Quon’s Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm. A Graveside service for the immediate family will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Refreshments will be available for all other attendees while the family attends the graveside service. The family will then return to Foster’s Garden Chapel in hopes of seeing and chatting with other guests.
