Jim Yee of Calgary passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Born in Kwangtung, China, he immigrated to Canada in 1952. Jim operated family-owned Chinese food restaurants until retiring in the mid 1990’s. As an active member of the Yee Fung Toy Society, he served as Director and Treasurer. Jim is survived by his four children: Gail (Barney) Woo, Judi (Tom) Leong, Sandi Seto, and Kevin Yee; and eight grandchildren: Cara, Aaron, Janine, Jordan, Victoria, Isaac, Davis and Evan. He is also survived by his younger brother, Jun Fun Yee of Hong Kong, and numerous nephews and nieces. Jim is also predeceased by his younger sister, Kit Ying Wong. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
