Peter Bruce Milne

November 18, 1954 – December 30, 2012

Peter passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on Sunday, December 30, 2012 surrounded by love. He is survived by his sons Dustin and Travis Milne and their mom, Debra Milne; sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Lorne Brack; nieces Katie and Sarah Brack and extended family. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Doreen (1989) and Bob (2011) Milne. He was a compassionate, loving person who cared deeply about his family and will be sadly missed. Peter’s love of flying began at an early age, soloing at fourteen and obtaining his pilot’s license at sixteen. Flying was his passion and during his lifetime he was a pilot in Northern, ON, the Caribbean, the Arctic (Borek Air) and a captain with Air Canada Jazz. Peter was also a cowboy at heart and never missed the Calgary Stampede Rodeo. During the last few years, he faced his numerous health challenges bravely and without complaint. As per Peter’s request, a private Family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Aerospace Museum of Calgary, 4629 McCall Way N.E., Calgary, AB, www.ASMAC.ab.ca.
