Pat was raised in Calgary where she attended school and met and fell in love with Laurence Verhegge. They were married December 9, 1967 and had two children Derek and Kim. Pat had a love for life and was able to brighten a room with her smile and laugh. Please remember her jokes and the way she could make everyone feel loved. She was always there when you needed a shoulder to lean on or to lend an ear for anyone who just needed to talk and ask advice. Pat was lucky enough to have lots of lifelong friends that will miss her. She loved to spend as much time as she could with her grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. Pat loved to go camping and on road trips. I am sure we all have some stories about the fun times we have had with her. Pat was very proud of the fact she gave back to her community by making over 300 blood donations. Pat was loved by all that had the pleasure of having her in their lives, she had many friends in her life that she met while she was volunteering. Pat was an avid golfer whether it was in Calgary or Mesa, Arizona. She worked as an OR Technician at the Calgary General Hospital and as an Optometric Assistant for Dr. Bishop.
