Patricia "Pat" Anne West

Pat was born in Saskatoon, SK on August 9, 1958, second daughter to Lorne and Rosemarie. She left us on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011. Pat resided in St. Walburg, SK until age eight, when the family moved to Calgary. She spent her remaining years in Calgary. Pat married Tom in 1981 and together raised and loved over thirty foster children. Her life was a life of giving, never asking for anything in return. Pat loved a fun time, had many, many friends, who shared her life. Cancer may have taken her life but never her spirit. Left in sorrow are her mom and dad, Lorne and Rosemarie, her hero and best friend, Tom, her sons Roy, Adam and Jonathan, sisters Linda (Id) and their children Justin (Kara), Tim and Kerey, Donna (Al) and their children Jessie and Jaime, brothers Lorne (Jennifer) and their children Kyera, Kyden, Khalee, Kylah and Kyler, Allan (Barbara) and their children Seanna and Dylan. A Celebration of Patricia’s Life was held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, 271, 339 – 50 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 2B3.
