Michael William Quinn

Michael William Quinn, 64, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, in Calgary, AB, surrounded by friends and family. Michael was born on February 20, 1959, in Saint John, New Brunswick and lived a life full of traveling, storytelling, music, and writing.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Florence. He is survived by his sister Honey and two brothers Noel and Paul. His sons Michael and Simon. Daughters Jessie, Tessa and Samantha. One nephew, 6 grandkids and one great grandchild. The family is forever grateful to Brandi Hunt for her invaluable support and surrounding Michael in love in his last months. Thank you to those that helped with his clinic visits and hospital stay.

Some memories and stories Michael held close to his heart. His adventures included 16 cross Canada trips, stops in Ottawa on the 125th birthday, a car break down and a stop by law enforcement. Cooking with spices that shouldn’t be on steak. Adventures to BC with old friends. On the road with family throughout Canada. Supervising the beverages on building projects. Playing video games with family and friends. Driving off road vehicles while playing paint ball. Traveling freight trains across the prairies. Having beverages with family and friends. Having Christmas on a budget. Cooking at oilfield camps and his favorite restaurant. Michael’s antics were to be expected those who knew him have their own stories to tell.
