Kathleen (Kay) Martens, 86, passed away peacefully at Agape Hospice in Calgary on August 12,2022, with her eldest son by her side.
Kay was born in Toronto to John and Catherine (O’Keefe) Campbell and spent her childhood with her sisters Ronnie and Rita and many cousins in Leamington. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
Kay is survived by 3 adoring children Ken, Tim and Lynn. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Betty in November 2021. Kay was also predeceased by her loving husband Pete in 2007. She is survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kay was lovingly adored by many friends and family.
Kay’s retirement years, along with husband Pete, were spent volunteering at the Peter Lougheed Hospital where they supported patients and families.
They were the proud recipients of several awards for their servitude.
Family and friends will be invited to A Celebration of Life at a later date.
