It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother and friend Kay MacDonald who passed away December 29, 2012 in Calgary, Alberta. Kay was born in West Vancouver on March 28, 1922. Kay moved to Calgary and married Jack in 1945, her partner of 61 years. Kay was an avid volunteer with the Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and the Glenbow Museum and recently in her local Legacy community. Kay loved the outdoors and travelling with Jack. They enjoyed birding, golfing and picnics with their granddaughters and family time. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children John (Jan), Karen and grandchildren Amy, Ashley and Brittany as well as many friends.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Foothills Medical Centre – SSB Unit 46 for their wonderful care of Kay.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Ronald McDonald House 111 West Campus Place, Calgary, Alberta T3B 2R6.
